Bed Bugs
Don't let them bite
For many years these insects have been virtually unheard of in South East Queensland, with many people assuming they were not even a real insect. However with cheaper airfares bringing more tourists to our shores, these insects have hitched a ride from down south and are now entrenched in the south east.
As the name suggests, they are most at home living in your bed, hiding in the folds, seams and cracks of your mattress and bed frame. Once you go to bed they are attracted to the warmth of your body and move in for the bite, drinking blood.
Other than the irritating bite mark, the most common signs are small dark blood stains on the bedding. Until there is a large infestation, it is unusual to see live bugs.
A combined treatment incorporating thoroughly cleaning the infested room, bed linen must be washed at a temperature of at least 45 degrees and other heat sensitive items can be frozen for at least 2 hours. As well as treatment with pesticides.
Our team are thoroughly trained in bed bug control and have several clients both domestic and in the hospitality industries. With over two decades of experience in this field, a good night's sleep is assured once treatment is completed.
